Common Questions

What type of containers do you use?+
We use only one-trip or brand-new containers. One-trip containers shipped cargo a single time before being sold to us — they're essentially new and rarely show any blemishes. We inspect every container on arrival.
How long does the build take?+
Standard models take 6–16 weeks from deposit to delivery. Custom builds may take longer. We provide regular photo updates throughout production so you're never in the dark.
Do you ship nationwide?+
Yes. We deliver to all 48 contiguous states via flatbed, tilt-bed, or chassis transport. For craned placements we coordinate that too. Shipping is priced per mile from our production facility.
Can I visit your facility?+
Yes — by appointment only. Email sales@container2go.com to schedule. We love showing customers our production floor and completed builds before they order.
What foundation do I need?+
Level ground is the key requirement. Options include railroad ties (most affordable), gravel pads (reliable and affordable), or concrete slabs (most permanent). Our preferred contractors can help with site-specific recommendations.
Do you handle permitting?+
Yes. Once your contract is signed, we create construction plan sets at no extra charge. We can submit directly to your state, or hand them to you for county/city review depending on your jurisdiction.
What's the difference between Standard and Custom builds?+
Standard models are our most popular layouts with 80+ customization options applied to a proven floor plan — faster and more affordable. Custom builds start from scratch: you dictate every spec detail.
Will the metal rust?+
Corten steel is engineered to be corrosion-resistant — it rusts much slower than mild steel and stays watertight throughout its lifetime. Our exterior paint and primer adds an extra protective layer.
